Introducing the new PROGRAFIK paper application tapes
A good application tape does its job quietly. The graphic comes off the liner cleanly, stays flat on the transfer and lands on the substrate exactly where you placed it. When the tape isn't right, you know straight away: curling, tunnelling, adhesive left behind on the vinyl, or a graphic that simply won't lift.
Four new paper application tapes join the PROGRAFIK range, and choosing between them comes down to two questions: medium or high tack, and with or without lay flat adhesive.
All four are standard weight paper with a rubber adhesive. They work wet or dry, tear cleanly, leave no adhesive build up and remove easily from the finished graphic. They suit general-purpose signmaking, screen and digital printing, premasking small to medium vinyl graphics, and transfers onto banners.
Medium tack: PROGRAFIK 1175
PROGRAFIK 1175 Medium Tack Paper Application Tape is the dependable all-rounder, with a consistent tack level that suits everyday die-cut and prespaced vinyl graphics.
PROGRAFIK 1175 Medium Tack Paper Application Tape with Lay Flat Adhesive adds a release liner adhesion system that grips slick liners and hard-to-lift vinyls, keeping graphics flat with no curling or tunnelling. It's a strong fit for decals, banners and wall graphics.
High tack: PROGRAFIK 1176
PROGRAFIK 1176 High Tack Paper Application Tape offers the same clean paper construction with a firmer grip for graphics that need more hold.
PROGRAFIK 1176 High Tack Paper Application Tape with Lay Flat Adhesive combines that high tack with the lay flat release liner adhesion, so even the hardest-to-lift vinyls stay flat from liner to application.
Which one should you choose?
Go with medium tack for easy-release vinyl and routine jobs, and high tack when you need a firmer grip. Add the lay flat adhesive when slick liners or hard-to-lift vinyls are the problem. Not sure which suits your work? Talk to our team or your PROGRAFIK representative.
